Italian Course Chiavari: The School
The centre is located in one of the
most beautiful buildings in Chiavari (Palazzo Bianchetti), of
particular interest for it's magnificent Art Nouveau staircase
and walls painted in fresco and stucco work. All students will
be given a booklet containing information about Chiavari, its
"culinary secrets", and other useful and helpful information.
Lessons are usually held, Monday to Friday, from 9.15 to 10.45
and 11.00 - 12.30 in the morning and from 14.30 to 17.30 in the
afternoon. The entire teaching programme is based on the direct
comunication method which enables the teacher to give individual
attention to the students and encourage them to take an active
part in the lessons. The teachers of the school have used their
extensive teaching experience to write their own language book,
where useful information about life in Italy and especially in
Chiavari is married with a modern and clear presentation of grammar.
The book is given to every student on arrival and remains theirs
to keep, together with a certificate of completion. The school
accept students from Germany, Australia, Austria, Switzerland,
Turkey, Russia, France and England. It holds a maximum of 40 students
per week. Activities and excursions include: a welcome drink for
students; excursions to 'Basilica dei fieschi' and 'Punta Manara'.
